Hands Off Portsmouth!
The Labour Government wants to strip Portsmouth, the UK's only island city, of its identity and independence - merging it with Gosport, Fareham, and Havant. Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves' plan will punish our city for our good financial footing by forcing us to pay off Hampshire's growing debt.
I know the first hand the life changing and life saving power of theatre, which is why I'm pleased to back UK Theatre and the Society of London Theatre's #TheatreForEveryChild campaign which calls upon the government to invest in the future of our world-leading art sector by ensuring every child has the chance to go to the theatre by the time they leave secondary school.
Peter is proud to be a member of the Liberal Democrats, the UK's internationalist, community-centric political party. He has campaigned for the party in Portsmouth and across the south of England.
Peter is currently serving the party as Portsmouth's data officer and a member of the local party's campaign committee, pushing a more digitally focused campaign for the 2026 local elections.
Peter joined the trade union movement when he was 16, joining the National Union of Journalists while training and working at The News, Portsmouth's daily newpaper.
He then joined Bectu, the union for creative ambition, one of the leading unions for people working in the creative industries.
