Today is not a day to talk politics. There may be an election just just around the corner, but this is a time to go above political argument and beyond geographical difference.
The events in London, just one day before the One Love concert being held in memory of the victims of last month's attacks in Manchester, is another attempt at dividing Britain. And yet again, it will fail.
The people of Britain do not see a difference between the senseless murder of innocent children, three simultaneous attacks on our capital city, or any other act designed to fill our hearts with fear. The people of Britain see only a coward; a coward who will fail to weaken our resolve.
There is a reason I am proud to be British. It is not our sporting prowess. It is not our political leadership. It is not our public policy. It is the fact that, no matter what, we will not be beaten.
